Our Story

Our vision at Antioch Church is to grow a group of believers who are passionate about serving the Lord and others. We desire to be a people who live for the sake of the gospel. The centerpiece of our strategy is topursue intentional gospel relationships. This focus drives us to engage the lost with the Good News and to help new believers to grow in their faith. Every leader and every member must take up the task of introducing and leading others into and through the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our prayer is to see a church that grows out of the spiritual harvest.

Scripture tells us that one day, in heaven, believers from every tongue, tribe and people group will gather around the throne in worship (Rev. 7). Also, when Jesus taught us to pray He said we should pray, “on earth as it is in heaven” (Matt. 6). Our prayer is that God will allow Antioch to be a church where the nations gather to worship the mighty God as a testimony to the power of the grace of the gospel. Our conviction is that there should be regular ongoing worship that gives unbelievers a glimpse of heavenly worship. If people from the ends of the earth can join together with only the Holy Spirit in common, what a testimony that worship will be!

While there is powerful testimony in such diversity coming together for corporate worship, our focus on intentional gospel relationships is realized outside the walls of the church. Every believer is called to be a missionary in his or her workplace or neighborhood. We are called to love our neighbors and to engage others by building bridges of grace to those whom God places in our path. A regular part of the encouragement, equipping and accountability will be around faithfully engaging those in our spheres of influence. Since in many ways our context is like an international mission field, our vision also includes some unique opportunities to impact our community. Our goals are to build credibility with the people, to show genuine care for making the city a better place, and to create a venue for intentional gospel relationship building. Our dream is to be a blessing to the community in a way that people will be drawn to the beauty of the gospel and the glory of Christ.
